Out Of The Storm is a window into the 1800s, capturing the raw endurance of a pioneer family as they conquer the elements. This scene serves as a reminder of the grit required for the journey westward and the hope that drives a quest toward a new beginning.
This oil on birch panel is uniquely accented with 1.5-inch thick live-edge Myrtle wood. Native to Southwestern Oregon and Northwestern California, this broad-leaf evergreen wood is historically known to represent fertility and life—a poetic choice for a family seeking a fresh start. Each accent was meticulously chosen and routered to flow in harmony with the atmosphere of the painting.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY: This substantial piece weighs 30 lbs (un-crated). To ensure the safety of the live-edge Myrtle wood and the panel, it will be professionally packaged and crated for transit. Complimentary shipping is included for all orders within the Continental United States. For international shipping inquiries, please contact the studio for a custom quote.
